How to discover your life purpose

How to discover your life purpose

There are days when we wake up with that question pressing against our chest: "am I on the right path?". You fulfill your commitments, do what needs to be done, but deep down you feel something is missing — a greater meaning, a direction that makes your heart beat a little warmer.

If you recognize yourself in these lines, take a deep breath with me. You are not lost. You are simply ready for one of the most beautiful journeys there is: rediscovering your inner light and discovering what truly brings meaning to your existence.

I guide many women through this process, and I want to tell you right from the start, with all my honesty: purpose is not a fixed destination that we find all at once. It is a delicate construction, built on self-discovery, listening, and gentleness. Walk with me, and I'll lovingly show you the way.

After all, what is life purpose?

Life purpose is what brings meaning to your days. It's the energy that moves you when nobody is watching, the reason that makes you get up in the morning eager to exist fully.

But pay attention to one important thing: purpose is not the same thing as a profession. You can have a purpose to care, to create beauty, to welcome people — and express that in a thousand different ways throughout your life.

Purpose doesn't need to be grand or change the whole world, either. Sometimes it lives in the small gestures: in the way you care for your family, in the listening ear you offer a friend, in the art you create. It is more about how you live than about what you do.

Why is it so hard to discover your life purpose?

If you find it difficult, know that this is normal and deeply human. We live in a rush, with minds full of noise, comparing our lives with others on social media. In all this noise, the voice of our soul becomes quiet, almost a whisper.

Some common reasons for this feeling of being lost:

  • We live on autopilot and rarely stop to listen to ourselves.
  • We carry others' expectations — of what family, society, or work expect from us.
  • We are afraid of making mistakes and this paralyzes us before trying.
  • We look for a ready-made answer when, in fact, purpose reveals itself gradually.

The first step in healing is understanding that discovering your purpose doesn't require hurry. It requires presence.

How to discover your life purpose in practice

There is no magic formula, but there is a path of self-discovery that you can walk with gentleness. Here are the practices that help the people I guide the most:

1. Create moments of silence and inner listening

Set aside time just for yourself, without a phone, without interruptions. It can be in the morning, with a tea, or at night before sleeping. In this space of welcoming care, start asking yourself: what makes me lose track of time? What would I do even without getting anything in return?

2. Notice what brings you genuine joy

Pay attention to the moments when you feel light, fulfilled, connected. These little sparks of joy are valuable clues. Write them down in a notebook — writing is a beautiful tool for self-discovery.

3. Recognize your values and your gifts

What is non-negotiable for you? Honesty, freedom, care, creativity? And what are the talents that people always recognize in you? When your values and your gifts meet, your purpose begins to unfold.

4. Allow yourself to experiment with ease

Sometimes the answer doesn't come from reflection alone, but from lived experience. Take that course, go to that place, talk to new people. Each experience brings you closer to your truth.

5. Embrace your story — including the pains

Your most difficult experiences often hold the seeds of your purpose. What you went through and healed can transform into light for others.

Holistic practices that support this journey

There are gentle paths that help calm the mind and open the heart to this inner listening. They work as wellness support — invitations to reflection and harmony, never as a magic solution or a substitute for professional care:

  • Meditation and conscious breathing to quiet thoughts and reconnect with the present.
  • Therapeutic Tarot, which I view as a symbolic mirror — it doesn't predict the future, but invites you to reflect on your current moment.
  • Mental reprogramming (also called Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP) as a tool for self-discovery and communication, helping you notice thought patterns and express yourself with greater clarity to yourself.
  • Reiki and energy practices that promote relaxation and a sense of balance.

I want to be very transparent with you: holistic therapies are a loving support for your well-being and your process of self-discovery. They do not cure, do not replace medical or psychological follow-up, and walk hand in hand with that care when it is necessary. Seeking professional help is also an act of self-love.

What if my purpose changes throughout life?

What a relief to tell you: this is completely natural. You are not the same person you were five years ago, and you don't need to be. Purpose accompanies your growth, your seasons, your healings.

View life as a moving journey. Today your purpose might be one thing; in a while, it may bloom in another direction. That is not failure — it is evolution. Allow yourself this gentleness of not needing to have everything defined forever.

How about starting this journey with warm support?

Discovering your life purpose is, above all, a reunion with yourself — with your light, your story, and your deepest truth. And no one needs to walk alone.

If you feel it's time to look inside with more care and take the first steps on this journey of self-discovery, I am here with open arms to walk alongside you. No rush, no expectations — just presence and warm support.

Let's have a warm chat on WhatsApp and discover together the path that makes sense for you.
