What is Therapeutic Tarot (and why it isn't fortune-telling)

I want to start with a loving confession: when I say "Tarot", many people instantly imagine that movie scene — dim lighting, a mysterious voice, someone announcing the future as if it were a sentence.

Take a breath. That's not what I'm talking about here.

The Therapeutic Tarot I practice in my space is something else. It's an invitation to your inner journey. It's sitting down with you, calmly, and using the cards as a mirror — not to tell you what will happen, but to help you see what is already happening inside you.

And that difference changes everything. Come with me and I'll explain.

What is Therapeutic Tarot?

Therapeutic Tarot is the use of cards as a tool for self-knowledge and emotional healing.

Instead of "reading your fate", we use each card as a mirror of the soul — an image that helps you name what you feel, to see blockages, fears, and patterns that you might not even realize were there.

Think of it this way: each card carries ancient symbols, archetypes that speak of human experiences that all of us live through — beginnings, losses, transformations, fresh starts. There are different decks that hold this wisdom, like the traditional Rider Waite Tarot and the ancient Marseille Tarot, each with its own images and symbols. When a card appears in front of you, it isn't giving you a ready-made truth. It is asking you a question.

"What does this stir up in you?"

"Where does this show up in your life right now?"

And it is in this dialogue, with lightness and warmth, that your inner light begins to shine through. Not because the card has magical powers — but because it helps you look within with more honesty and less fear.

At its core, Therapeutic Tarot has a simple and powerful principle: you are the author of your own life. The cards only illuminate the path. You are the one who walks it.

What's the difference between this and fortune-telling?

This is the question I get asked the most. And I love answering it, because this is where everything becomes clear.

The difference isn't in the cards — it's in the purpose of the reader.

Traditional fortune-telling usually has a predictive focus: "will I get married?", "will he come back?", "will I get the job?". The energy is about predicting, seeking an answer from the outside to calm an anxiety.

Therapeutic Tarot turns this inside out, with all the love in the world. Instead of asking "what will happen to me?", we ask:

  • "What do I need to see about this situation?"
  • "What is preventing me from moving forward?"
  • "What internal change brings me closer to what I desire?"

Feel the difference? One question leaves you passive, waiting for destiny. The other puts you at the center, as the protagonist of your own healing.

To sum it up gently:

| Traditional fortune-telling | Therapeutic Tarot |

|---|---|

| Focus on predicting the future | Focus on understanding the present |

| Answers from the outside | Answers from within |

| You wait for destiny | You guide the journey |

| "What will happen?" | "What can I transform?" |

One is not better or worse than the other — it's simply a different approach. And mine is always about welcoming, warmth, and self-knowledge.

Does Tarot predict the future?

I'll be very honest with you, because honesty is what builds trust: no, Therapeutic Tarot does not predict the future. Nor is that the intention.

What the cards show are tendencies, not certainties set in stone. They point to what is in motion in your life right now — the energies, feelings, and patterns that are active at this moment.

Your future isn't written. It is being written, every single day, by your choices. And this is where the Law of Attraction makes so much sense to me: the energy you cultivate inside — your thoughts, your intentions, what you believe you deserve — sets the tone for what you attract into your life. The cards help you see that energy with greater clarity.

I like to think of the cards as a lighthouse on a foggy night. The lighthouse doesn't decide where you go. It just illuminates the path enough for you to see better and make choices with more awareness.

That's why, in a session with me, you will never hear "this or that will happen". You will hear questions, reflections, and you will leave with more clarity about what you are feeling — and about what is in your hands to transform.

This, to me, is the true magic. It isn't guessing tomorrow. It is giving you back the power over your today.

Does it replace therapy?

This part is important, and I make a point of making it crystal clear, with all the care in the world: Therapeutic Tarot does not replace therapy, psychological support, or medical treatment.

It is a support to your well-being. A tool for self-knowledge and reflection that walks alongside professional care — never in its place.

If you are going through a time of deep suffering, intense anxiety, depression, or any mental health issue, my loving guidance is always the same: seek a psychologist or a doctor. That care is irreplaceable and deserves priority in your life.

Holistic therapies, such as Therapeutic Tarot, Reiki, and crystal therapy, work as a complement. They open up space for you to breathe, reconnect with your inner light, and look within with more gentleness. Many women use these practices alongside traditional therapy, and both paths strengthen each other.

I will never promise you a miraculous cure — because that doesn't exist, and I respect you too much to mislead you. What I offer is presence, listening, and a safe space for your self-knowledge journey. The rest, we build together, in your own time.

What a Therapeutic Tarot session with me looks like

So you can picture the warm welcome waiting for you, let me tell you how a session flows here in my space (all online, in the comfort of your home):

  • We talk first — you tell me what is moving you to seek this session.
  • I draw the cards calmly, unhurriedly, creating a moment of pause and presence.
  • From the images that emerge, we reflect together: what resonates, what feels uncomfortable, what calls for attention.
  • You leave with clarity, new questions, and paths to keep looking within.

It's not about receiving ready-made answers. It's about finding yourself again.

If you feel it's time to look at this with more care, I would love to walk alongside you. Let's talk on WhatsApp, in your own time and with no obligation.

With love,

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to believe in Tarot for it to work?

You don't need blind faith. You just need openness to look within. The cards are a mirror — they work as an invitation to reflection, and that happens regardless of "belief".

How often can I have a session?

I don't recommend consulting the Tarot all the time, okay? That can turn into anxiety. The ideal is to let life breathe between sessions — usually every 3 to 6 months, or when a significant new cycle emerges.

Is Therapeutic Tarot related to religion?

No. It is an open and welcoming tool for self-knowledge that respects your story and your beliefs, whatever they may be. Here, you are always welcome exactly as you are.

Can I have a session even if I'm in psychological therapy?

Yes, you can — and many women do. Therapeutic Tarot is a support, a complement to your care. It walks alongside therapy, never in its place.

Ready to start your healing journey?

Come talk to me, no strings attached. I'll welcome you with all my care and explain what your session can be like.
